As the time of his death drew near, Jesus went into the Garden of Gethsemane to talk to His Father. Honestly, He poured out his sorrow and thoughts about what would come to be very soon.

Through life, I'm sure there have been times when we wondered if God was even there, if He cared, or if He even exists. I know I have felt that way. In the quietness of the night, many tears have been shed, angry words thrown out, but looking back, I know that God was with me, listening patiently as I poured out my heart. He sent the right people along to walk alongside me too.

Even though it sometimes took years for me to understand the whys, He showed me the reasons in His time. May this cross remind you of His deep and unconditional love for you, that He is not only your Father, but also your friend.
